CASA Corridor – 2011 Activity Report
For the year of 2011, CASA Corridor of East Tennessee had a very busy year. We currently have 4 paid staff members, 20 volunteer advocates with only 12 currently active. We are in the process of training 3 more volunteers, but as you look over our report for the year, you will see that our need for more volunteers is great. If our children are to be our future, will you consider some of your time to volunteer and help to make sure that the future will be brighter.
Here are some statistics of our accomplishments:
1. 242 children served in 2011
2. 158 families served in 2011
3. 74 new cases received in 2011
4. 203 cases closed in 2011
5. 45 active children as we close out 2011
Of the children we serve, the average age range was:
· Birth – five: 27%
· Six - eleven: 35%
· Twelve – seventeen: 25%
Placement found for our children:
· Non relative foster care: 35%
· Relative placement: 45%
· Third Party Custody: 10%
· Youth Group Home: 10%
